“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1
Pajama Day, Student of the Month Lunch, and Yorgie Bear visiting, could we pack any more into one day? Packing so much into one day makes me think about how much we pack into one little school. When I have the privilege of talking about Faith Community Christian School in the community I always have so much to talk about. There is a plethora of things happening all the time. The really exciting part of all the activity at the school is how everyone always strives to point everything back to God and His glory. We give thanks and praise to Him for all that He has given to us, from the skilled teachers and office staff to the wonderful students. God has worked in this school for many years. While we realize that the school looks much different now than it did 35 years ago, the same heart still beats at the core. We still strive to bring all students into a strong personal relationship with Christ. We still work closely with the families and extended families. We still offer one of the best primary school educations in the area, and we still walk in true faith. I encourage you to read the entire eleventh chapter of Hebrews. It talks about so many who walked before and had faith. Having faith is more than simply trusting God will answer, it is taking the steps forward as He directs. Just as those who started Faith Community Christian School did and those who walked with the school for so many of the middle years, we now need to take the reins. We are trusting God in everything and we are walking in faith with Him while taking the steps forward that we have prayed about and believe He is leading us to take. Just like packing so much into one day, we are still packing a huge heart for serving the Lord and reaching young children and families for Christ. That is our true mission and one we will continue to live out.
